[EN] Worth Quite a Few Words

Picture from Facebook group At the Controls.

Reservations agents Nancy Chaffee and Sharon Frankau and IBM representative Robert Hanson at the console of an IBM System/360 Model 65 running National Airlines' reservations system (New York City, 1969).

This is a well composed photograph. Just look how light and dark alternate, among other features.

Note that reservations agents do not work in computer rooms at data centers, of course; the message of the picture is:
"This is the machine our system runs on,
and these are the people who run our system:
it is the cream of the cream!"
