Merely the etymology first: eu-thanasia, Greek, "good-death".
(As if there can be such a thing; it is just an eu-phemism, of course.)
Years ago I was thinking that legalizing euthanasia will lead to putting pressure on people to go that way.
I dismissed that as an unfounded concern.
Now this article says, among other things, that it wasn't.
Never mind that 5% of all deaths is a hell of a lot.
